COLE HAMELS IS MAKING HIS MAJOR LEAGUE DEBUT FRIDAY NIGHT.

/DIES.

Saturday, April 29, 2006

Cole Hamels made his first start for AAA this season.

7 IP, 0 runs, 3 hits, 0 walks, 14 strikeouts.

what a beast. He set a Scranton/Wilkes-Barre record for most K's in a game by a left-hander.

Hello hello! Happy first Saturday of baseball season!

The Cubs are currently down 2-0 to the Cardinals heading into the bottom of the 6th. Big Z has pitched great; both runs were unearned. I'm hoping that the Cubs can pull off a win today, that will really stick it to the Cards early in the season, especially after crybaby Edmonds was complaining about his hot water after yesterday's game.

I feel bad for Jacque Jones, he's hearing the boo-birds early and often at Wrigley. 0-10 (make that 11 now). People have to put in perspective Derrek Lee's first few months as a Cub. He was bad. Just give him time, my people.

------

En otra news, Jimmy Rollins' hit streak ended the other day. Sad. Even though I can't say I ever truly liked the guy, seeing that my first memory of him was him was a few years ago hitting a homer against the Cubs, and then mocking Sammy in the dugout afterwards.

----

I got tickets for the Cubs game August 22nd against the Phillies. 12 rows behind the 1st base dugout. They cost my parents an arm and a leg.

Well, that's really all I feel like writing about right now. Go Cubs.
